The story
Born from 2 decades of working as a fashion stylist & seeing the waste produced by the fast fashion industry, the desire emerged to provide alternatives to mainstream retail buying. Cut to a "second act" shop in Bedstuy Brooklyn called Archive Objekts — a creative studio that brings together vintage & modern fashion, accessories, utilitarian objects & vinyl records under one roof. More than a retail store, the space serves as an intersection where people can shop, listen, gather, drink, and participate in local culture.
Sustainability is central to the business model. Consignment gives individuals an accessible way to participate in the circular economy: people can turn things they no longer need into income while giving someone else the opportunity to discover and reuse them.
The approach
Slow by design.
We are not a fast shop. Inventory turns slowly, deliberately. We believe the right object finds the right person — and that the search itself has value.
Tea & wine
Alongside the objects, we offer tea and wine service — a reason to linger, to look more carefully, to stay a little longer than planned. By arrangement.
